My new-found self: Musings of an amateur artist

By Pallavi Rathor

Neither a beach vacation nor a good workout session could give me a high as the one I got after a good painting or sketching session.

Not only did I feel revived and invigorated after my art sessions, but I also started finding beauty in everything after I painted.

The world took on a new meaning with every stroke of a pen and with every spill of colour.

During the entire lockdown and then now, this was one thing that I used to wait for eagerly…

“Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.”

This Pablo Picasso quote resonated with me. It taught me that there is no age to learn something new. It taught me that even when you are all grown up, the artist in you should never die.

Just start doing something you like. Time will be managed.
