Does a break-up hurt?

By The Maddening Hatter

The answer to does a break-up hurt differs from person to person. Although I wouldn’t want to be all preachy, about breakups and the whole relationship game (Trust me I’ve had far too many of these), just felt like talking about it. What according to me hurts after a breakup or as many of my exes called it, ‘taking a break’, is firstly not knowing if it’s the usual fight that gets resolved after a couple of days or is it the real deal. I feel, ladko ki aadhi relationship toh isse hi samjhne mein nikal jati hai ki break up pakka wala hua ya nahi. Secondly, its the vacuum. Relationship mein kya hota hai na, you give up on everything else to make time for someone special, but when you have a breakup, you just don’t know what to do with the time. Though you’d still have office work ya ghar ka kaam, (Bhai break up hua, mummy ne pankhe saaf karwana band nahi kiya) you’d still have some time left and that’s when it hits you. I think a break up is not about sulking over one person or listening to Arijit Singh songs, rather it’s just about not having someone to share that pathetic joke or something you find important with someone.

Of course, you’ll have your friends, but hota hai na, those things that you could have only shared with that one person and no one else. Aur ab usse bata nahi sakte (ego mein aakar block bhi toh karna hota hai na har jagah se).

I think that’s the part which sort of makes you wanna apologise even though it wasn’t your fault or maybe just rush back to them and hug them as if you’re never gonna let go. People say it doesn’t hurt or at least they don’t show it, but I think it leaves an impact, big or small depends on person to person. Anyway, this was my take on breakup, share yours.
