The The Search Of True Connection

In The Search Of True Connection

By Bablu Kumar

In a world of emptiness, and lacking depth,
I feel lonely, even among the best.
People talk, but it’s shallow and bare,
Leaving me longing for a deeper care.

The one who understood, my heart’s gentle beat,
Is now gone, and I feel incomplete.
People hide their emotions, so unknown,
And conversations lack the depth I have come to know.

I feel suffocated, by the shallow talk,
With nothing to say, I can barely walk.
But then I remember, the bond we once had,
The one with you, that was never sad.

You knew me inside out, and I could be free,
With you, my heart danced, so wild and so carefree.
So now I miss you, and I long for your touch,
The one who could talk, to my heart, so much.

Thought Behind This Poem: In a world full of distractions, many people undervalue the beauty of deep meaningful conversations and instead opt for superficial small talk. Asking someone “how are you?” has become more of a social convention than a genuine inquiry into their emotional state. Personally, I cherish the opportunity for meaningful dialogue and tend to steer clear of shallow conversations.
