Toxic Masculinity And Homophobia

Toxic Masculinity And Homophobia

By Ramakrishnan Balaji

What is being Mard? Well, its simply toxic masculinity bound by the shackles set by society.

I am not a mard I never consider myself a mard. For me what matters is my real self and my real self says that I am a happy soul who just believes in being happy about his body and soul and make the best use of his life given by God.

I believe in being the best version of a human being. I am a free soul and every soul has its own will to lead life.

Oye meetha, Mard bann! Chakka hai tu, ladkiyon ki tarah kyun kapde pehenta hai, 666!

I spent almost 20 years of my life listening to these homophobic comments. But these comments are still keeping me strong and motivated.

My journey started on a rough note though but today out of these hatred comments there are many comments which says “they take my story as an inspiration which makes them live every single day” so does it really matter if people are trying to put me down?

No, with their baseless justification for being homosexual. Homophobia is not fear of gays actually it’s fear of change, a change which can bring revolution in this society and people just don’t want the same to happen.

But listening to all these things, a question that roams in my consciousness is: Are we really a part of the 21st century?
